A business law firm whose practice is devoted to the transactions that shape the life of a company.

Member of the Paris Bar · Founder
Martin Estanove practises in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions and finance. He developed his practice within French and international firms, including Hogan Lovells and Bird & Bird, where he advised investment funds, property groups and companies on leveraged buy-outs, acquisitions and structured finance.
He founded Selves & Godesque in 2025 to bring that experience to small and mid-sized companies, with the same standards and a way of working suited to their size: availability, fixed fees, a single point of contact.
From Lyon and attached to the Haute-Savoie, he practises throughout France from Paris. He writes regularly on the mechanics of business transfers and their financing.
The same lawyer from the first call to signature. No file passed from hand to hand, no information lost between the negotiation and the drafting.
A fixed fee for each stage, set out in the engagement letter before any work and any invoice. The director knows what is being paid, for what, and when.
From the letter of intent to the escrow of funds, the firm covers the entire transaction. The flow of money is secured by the same adviser who drafted the documents.
Selves & Godesque acts at the moments when a company changes hands, changes size or changes course: the sale, the acquisition, the debt raising, the turnaround.
The firm advises small and mid-sized companies, their shareholders and their directors. It works alongside their accountants, their bankers and their corporate finance advisers, holding the pen on the legal documentation and on the timetable.
Guided by exacting standards, rigour and closeness, it practises throughout France from Paris, Lyon and Annecy.
